HI! I’M RIO.

I’m a licensed esthetician, author of Let's Face It: Secrets of a Skincare Obsessive, and journalist based in Los Angeles. I’m also a columnist at New York Magazine’s The Strategist, and have been since 2017. My mission is to cut through the overwhelming landscape of beauty, and make skincare approachable and accessible to all. During consultations, I guide clients through their skincare routines, help them understand which products truly work for them, and ensure their regimen supports their personal goals and skin’s needs.
